Welcome back everyone, hope you all enjoyed the summer holidays and are ready for another school year.
We welcome our new Junior Infant class, Alice Daly, Conor Daly,
Lucy Draper, Grace O'Driscoll & Sultanie Ablaieva.
.
As we start the school year please ensure that your child/children's school jumpers, coats and school supplies are clearly marked with their name/s as this will help with class organisation. www.MyNametags.ie supply a wide variety of nametags if needed. All children attending are expected to wear full uniform unless directed otherwise. The School uniform consists of a Navy Pinafore/ Skirt, Pants/ navy denim (blue denim or tracksuits with large writing are not acceptable), Red -t-shirt with collar (sports shirt), Navy - Jumper or Cardigan, Navy - Socks/tights (girls). During warmer weather, if your child wishes to wear shorts please ensure that plain navy shorts are worn (not denim).
We would ask everyone to make a special effort to wear their school jumper and to discourage the use of other tops.
During our new school year we wish to continue our healthy eating policy. It important that your child/children eat a healthy, balanced and varied lunch. Crisps, sweets, chocolate and fizzy drinks should never be included in your child's school lunch.
*Please note that peanuts or health bars which may contain peanuts are also not to be included in your child's lunch.
We again ask everyone not to drive into or turn at the school entrance and to please drop children along the footpaths. The school will be reviewing the traffic plan regularly and will also co- ordinate with the building company across from the school to ensure a safe environment for the school community.
All absences must be forwarded in writing to the school and should include an explanation and the date/s of absence. Please see the back of your child's homework journal for appropriate notes. The school is legally obliged to report any child who misses twenty or more days in a school year to the Child and Family Agency TÚSLA.
There will be no attendance medals this year. Please ensure if your child is displaying any Covid symptoms that you follow H.S.E guidelines and keep them at home.
Junior Infants go home at 12:00 for the first three weeks until September 20th.
All homework is to be signed by parents on completion every night.
